Exit-Writer Software Update Area

Exit-Writer Version 7 is now available for download.

Exit-Writer Version 7 update includes:

• Three new languages (Chinese, Vietnamese and Russian) have been added for 150 of the most commonly used emergency medicine titles at no additional charge.
• The lab test area has been expanded and enhanced and now includes 200+ lab test instructions available to print at discharge.  At no additional charge.
• A new feature to automatically print English translations of the discharge for the patient or the file copy when using additional languages is now available.
• A new feature allowing users to restore print sessions (re-print) from any previous patient discharge session is now available.
• Physician NPI numbers can now be printed on prescriptions.
• The Medication Reconciliation tool has been enhanced to display any previous patient home medications and drugs prescribed in the Exit-Writer RxWriter. The tool has also been modified to allow stand alone use - including printing Medication Reconciliation reports without creating prescriptions or printing discharge instructions.
• New Spanish translations have been updated (309).
• New topics have been added (3).
• User interface changes have been made making Exit-Writer even easier to use.
• Exit-Writer Version 7 now runs on both Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Express (a free edition of Microsoft SQL Server).

Exit-Writer - Version 7 Update (from Version 6)

This update download is intended for existing Exit-Writer Version 6 users updating to Version 7. Please contact us on 800-598-7258 for assistance if you are updating from an older version of Exit-Writer. 

Note: You must have Windows administrative privileges to install this update.  These downloads will provide you with the latest Exit-Writer software version and all new topics and languages. Close Exit-Writer and EW Fax Server sessions  before beginning this update. If you running Exit-Writer against MS SQL Server, make sure you backup the SQL Server database, before applying the update.

Download Instructions: Click the Download button below to begin your download process and select Save.  Save the downloaded file to the existing EW6 folder.  Locate the new ExitWriterUpdate.exe (software update) file and run (by double clicking the icon).
